I think you'll get a better response to your query on summitpost.org. Good luck.

This photo was taken the first week of June.

Here is the V-Notch and the U-Notch.

Here is Starlight Butress

Particulars; The road to Glacier Lodge is plowed and open and all facilities near the trailhead are open(the Lodge, campgrounds, ect).

We encountered snow on the trail starting at 8000ft. The trail between Third Lake and Sam Mack is compleatly covered with snow. Sam Mack is compleatly buried and so is the trail leading up to the galcier.

The Palidase Glacier itself it still smooth and "un-suncupped". The 'schrund at the U, V and Glacier Notches is covered with this soft, fluffy recent snowfall making for some challenges crossing the schrund. The snow and the bridges ought to settle in the next couple of weeks.

Didnt see much in the way of crowds, but I was there during a late spring storm so I didnt expect I would. I did see a couple of AT monsters shoot the V-Notch though(crazy mofos), conditions are perfect for AT right now.

Hey Dad, thanks for the suggestion and I did look at SP first but I just wasnt finding the beta I was looking for, so I came home to MP.

This was my 5th trip to the Palisades so if anyone is headed up the the Palisades this summer I'd be more than willing to share what I know.

Anyone have an update on conditions of the glacier this year? Climbing Sill next month and was hoping to camp on the west side of the glacier lake (Fischer camp?) as opposed to gayley camp and cross the glacier to get to glacier notch and avoid the talus below gayley, but was worried about cravases after 2 weak winters...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
