Monday June 13th, 6:30 PM, Pikes Peak Alpine School owner and Chief Guide Jamie Pierce, an internationally certified Mountain & Ski Guide (IFMGA) through the American Mountain Guides Association will be giving a brief hour long narrative of climbing and guiding in and around the Pikes Peak Region and overseas.
Jamie has been a mountain guide since 1989. His experience includes leading climbs and expeditions worldwide with over 2500 days in the field guiding all disciplines including rock and ice climbing, and ski touring. From big walls in Yosemite, to ski tours of Europe, Canada and Alaska, over 23 expeditions to Africa climbing, 13 expeditions to Alaska including ascents of McKinley, Hunter, Huntington, Canada, France, Switzerland, Russia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Uganda, Namibia, India, Tibet and many more, plus over 17 expeditions to Antarctica to name a few.
Jamie sees the opportunities in this region as limitless. He views this terrain as rivaling many of the mountains he has guided throughout the world with the added value of altitude making this playground a perfect locals area to expand knowledge. He is excited to have this opportunity to work alongside City Rock in offering programs that can accommodate all ages and abilities.
