You're absolutely right!
I don't know the whole story other than I had heard that Jason narrowly escaped being hit by a ski at Jaws.

Just got back from school, and these have been my first four days back in the water here on LI. Lots of surfing, and kiteboarding! I took my whitewater boat out yesterday when it got a little mushy. ASP is coming to long beach.

we have some advisory level south swell foretasted for later this week. I am going to need verification before venturing over with gas prices the way they are. We have a pretty good real time web cam aimed at Break Wall.

Surf along south facing shores will be 5 to 8 feet Tuesday.
Uncle Glen James says this for us on Maui
Maalaea Bay: 2+ Hawaiian
Lahaina: 2-3+ Hawaiian
Note: Wave face readings are approximately twice the surf forecast numbers indicated in the tables above.
South shores - A south-southwest swell will continue, reaching high surf advisory levels into Wednesday…slowly lowering through Thursday and Friday. A new somewhat smaller south swell will arrive by this coming weekend.
It looks like good south shore surfing for a while if those strong trades don't wrap around mess it up.
Sounds like I should put surfboards in the truck tomorrow and go over to the south side!
Last Friday I wave sailed logo to mast high all afternoon. What a late season treat!
