Climbing in China

Hey everybody,
I'm considering moving to China for work. Specifically, Beijing. I studied mandarin for a few years in college and would like to head over there to immerse myself in the language and explore the culture... to have an adventure, basically!
One major concern though is climbing. I'm worried that with the culture shock and the language barrier I could get pretty isolated for a little while until things settle down. Knowing there is a community of climbers there to engage with or even just a decent gym would be a huge relief to me.
Does anyone have any experience with the climbing community in and around Beijing? I assume there's probably a lot of relatively undeveloped climbing in the region; any leads on people I could hook up with to explore the area? I'd be a willing belay slave and/or apprentice to any tradmasters in the area.

I've been happy using this company.
