Feb. 9th Kauk/Thornburg slideshow in Sunnyvale

Hey Northern California climbers. Here's something fun looming less than 3 weeks away. On Wednesday February 9th at Planet Granite Sunnyvale at 7.30pm we're having a fundraiser to Unlock Jailhouse, a cliff near Sonora, CA. Jim Thornburg will show some of his amazing slides of climbing all over the world. Ron Kauk will give a short talk and show portions of Return to Balance: A Climber's Journey. We'll be auctioning off many thousands of dollars worth of climbing gear--- a very large amount of pretty amazing schwag. Suggested donation at the door is $10, and all proceeds go to preserve access to Jailhouse Rock.

Bumping this, and adding several things.

1) Keen footwear has reopened their donation program. Bring your old worn-out climbing rope of any length in to any Touchstone or now Planet Granite gym, and they donate $10 to Unlock Jailhouse. We'll have a big bin at the Feb 9th event, so if you're coming, collect some ropes from your worn-out gear pile and bring them. (They recycle the ropes into new product.)

2) Starting today, and running through Feb.15th, Planet Granite is matching all donations to Unlock Jailhouse. See: accessfund.org/jailhouse
