A frighteningly big crew of volunteers showed up for National Public Lands Day in Eldorado Canyon today.
There were:
Brownies
CMC members
23 Bulgarians (no kidding)
Defenders of Wildlife
et alia
They planted trees, cleaned up the creek, fixed more Bastille descent steps, and cleared/reestablished the Roof Routes access and some of the Streamside trail. Darn good day.
I'd gush with effusive praise, but they worked me.

This is awesome to see. There was a crew of volunteers from the NC3 and Fort Collins Natural Areas at Piano Ridge this morning as well. The group did important maintenance on the trail, like building steps and cutting drainage ways. We love these places for the climbing, the history, etc., thanks for giving back!
It sucks I have to work on the weekends, I'd like to help out on something like this. Let me know if there is anything going on for a wednesday!... my only day off :(
