Wow...that's pretty ugly. Must be galvanic corrosion due to the proximity to the ocean.

All these old carbon steel Rawl 5-piece bolts with homemade Leeper-like hangers were replaced during summer 2015. The route now has bomber stainless steel Fixe Triplex bolts (75 mm length) and stainless steel Fixe bolt hangers.

(Pre-replacement) Typical lead bolt on "Olas Negras". All the bolts for this climb were suspect and needed to be replaced. Hangers were missing off one or more of the lower bolts.
