A little different than the usual sunrise shot? I kind of like this one.

Is this one HDR and if so, which program do you use? Otherwise, EXCELLENT exposure on this one. Same with the Croft photo.

No, that was taken on Fuji Velvia 50 film and scanned.

The Croft one was taken in RAW with my Sigma SD-14 and converted to Jpeg with the software that came with the camera.

Here's a view of the sunrise my brother and I witnessed on Mount Kinabalu last May. The wind was whipping and the clouds were rolling over the canyons.

What a fun topic! Life has led me to be a consistent dawn patroller which fortunately allows me many, many more sunrises than I thought I'd ever see. I love them more that sunsets because of the anticipation and growing of the day. I'm very fortunate to see the changes as the year progresses through our local mountains.

Very fun stuff. Thanks for sharing your photos.

Last trip to Jacks Canyon of the season in 09. Cold morning but the sunrise and climbing were worth it.

Wow Flyk - those images from Mt. Moran are stunning. Here is one from Cerro Standhart for the mix.

Wow, nice sunrises! I wish I could get up that early; it seems the only way I could is to set at least 2 very loud alarms with no snooze capabilities, and no off switch- or even easier for me is to just stay up all night to see the sunrise. I'm jealous of all you alpine start people!

Edit: I do have plenty of nice sunset pics though.
