If "Royal Flush" is 8 pitches, 1500 ft...how can this be pitch 16? Short rope, breaking the route into short pitches? Chris Plesko's photo indicates that a 70m rope would be useful...the math isn't adding up. What's the poop?

When the route was first submitted, it was listed as something like 20 pitches. It was intended to be sort of a Euro-guide type route where the guide doesn't want to be too far from her client. The numbering on the website changed as most folks didn't do it in so many pitches. I think we did 7-8 pitches. As I recall, 2 of the "pitches" were the 2nd class hikes between the chunks of rock.

Gunks climber and every pic of a Gunks roof is underneath or to the side so you can actually see the roof, , to label this weak pic a "Gunks-like roof is insulting, Gunks roofs are so big and on 5.5 climbs.
