Description Suggest change

This is a great, tall, triangle-shaped boulder about 20 yards off the highway. It can be a bit noisy since the road is so close. Despite the noise, this boulder is wonderful, and take note of the bone imprints embedded in it.

Getting There Suggest change

From I-70 in Grand Junction, get off on US Highway 50 heading south. A few miles out of Junction you will come to CO Highway 141, and you will make a right towards Naturita. Follow CO Highway 141 approximately 5 miles and you will see the fossil boulder on the right hand side. It is a very distinct boulder and very hard to miss. See included picture.

Per Randall Chapman: The BLM has asked people to not climb on it. While having a conversation with an official from the BLM, back in 2010, he mentioned that they would prefer we not climb on the face with the over 200 million year old dinosaur bone imprint in it.
