My poor pack that has seen better days, and I in Zion NP.<br> <br> We were able to score two permits for Mystery Canyon as a "walk-up" the day before- we had no luck reserving on-line as they were booked up; the nice ranger at the back-country office said we got the last two permits available for Mystery Canyon on the day we had planned to do it. Woohoo! <br> <br> We hiked the long way to Mystery Canyon, hiking up the Weeping Rock trail, just beyond Observation Point. The hike up to the Mystery Canyon wasn't as strenuous as I imagined it would be, and the views off this trail are awesome.<br> <br> I love Zion!<br> <br> Taken 6/24/10

Pine Creek, Zion. There was only John, and I, and a party of three with a permit for that day. We felt like we had it all to ourselves. There was intermittent swimming, wading, (water's pretty darn cold!), scrambling, and hiking involved, and I believe 9 raps total. Fun!<br> <br> Taken 9/16/09

What a fun route! We had the entire route, canyon, and pretty much the whole area all to ourselves.
