I have found a new place for some amazing sport climbing in Moab and would love to tAke people there. My friends in SLC are always too busy or have their " own thing " here in SLC. So I need to find friends who are up for Moab climbing! I would also love to learn to do crack and want to desperately do the towers!! I only lead up to a 5.9 right now but I am a responsible female belayer!

"....
What's the weather like out there? "It's hot. Damn hot! Real hot! Hottest things is my shorts; I could cook things in it, a little crotch pot cooking." Well, can you tell me what it feels like? "Fool, it's hot!, I told you again! Were you born on the sun? It's damn hot! It's so damn hot, I saw these little guys in their orange robes burst into flames. It's that hot!"
..."

Aimee- when was that pic taken? I'm interested in Red Rocks climbing but wonder if it's already too hot there.

Hi Nate,

It was taken a year ago. Yes, it is way too hot to climb there right now. The best time is late Fall or early winter.

I'll be moving cross country in August and am looking for people to climb with between Boulder and Vegas. I'll be in Moab for a few days already and I'm open for climbing anywhere (even if it means getting up in the dark to beat the heat) and would especially like to climb castleton tower. Send me a message if you're interested.

Aimee,
I am always looking to expand my bag of partners. Give me a yell next time you plan on coming down and maybe we can climb.

My email is lantzjason@yahoo.com. Drop a line if you don't have a partner when you want to come down. I may be able to line up a female partner or two.

is this new area the scar et al on the wall at the entrance to potash? if so is there a current topo (some is on this site but i walked the base in the snow last winter and noticed a lot more)? if not, mind sharing the location? when the season comes around you are welcome to join us whenever we're down there.

btw, careful at mill creek. the moderates aren't always very well protected. nice place though!
