Hi Jim,

I just spent the week in RR (March 1-5). Conditions were quite ideal other than a big rain/windstorm that came in late Wednesday night. It rained for an hour or two and then was VERY windy on Thursday March 4th. I climbed Mtn Beast yesterday and it was perfect!

Depending on what routes you want to do it could be ideal. A snowstorm from 2 weeks ago has left large snow patches on ledges of some bigger non-south facing routes. (Example: Woman of Mtn Dreams crux pitch is running water from a snowpatch)

thanks for the info we will be on the moderates , wanted to make sure we weren't breaking holds , luckily in the last 10 years i haven't had to worry about weather in red rock it was always dry / sunny sometimes not warm but always dry

hey we just got s good little rain storm last night and this morning and the sandstone is not that safe to climb on after rain. i would wait about 1 to 2 days to dry out depending on how much sun the spot is getting.
