Finally, hopefully someone a little nicer about letting people access the rock will buy it.

Anybody got any info on this property or can give me the phone # and lot number or address for the realtor?
I can't read it from the sign....
Does anyone around drive by here and can see if the "box" on the side of the sign contains any more info? Please email me if so!

There were two numbers on the sign 303-838-2720 and 800-571-5938. All the flyers were gone. Buy it, Tony, then let everyone climb it again.

For those that started following the matter- there are a lot of details here that are too complex to delineate right here and now, but there is the story:
I've been talking with the Access Fund, and I've talked to the Realtor.
The lot for sale $300,000 for 12.5 acres. It does go to the road, and comes to the N. end of the rock on Sphinx, but does not CONTAIN Sphinx nor Squat. Sphinx and Squat are on 2 different parcels belonging to the same owner who is not the guy threatening people. The value of those 2 lots seems to be in excess of $500,000.
The Access Fund did a ton of research on this matter prior to and including today and much to their credit looked into the legal work and was willing to help make this happen if it could, but I don't have a million (literally) dollars to wave around trying to get someone's attention for a handful of climbs... hopefully y'all understand, on the account of the fact at I'm pretty much not a millionaire. Anyway, we looked into it, we tried, and it just isn't going to work out like that, since buying the lot for sale guarantees nothing. The A.F. has been reaching out to the owners trying to get access or easements, but it has not happened.
Sadly, I don't think this will be a success story. But if this sort of thing matters to you, you really should be an Access Fund Member.

It is the guy who owns the Squat and Sphinx properties that is doing the threatening. He has, in essence, been "protecting" a property he does not own (the Boyer property). We may be a little confused up here but that much we do know.

I heard it was the same guy that was stuffin M-80s up all the baby falcons' butts out on the Sunshine Wall; either that or I was hittin the heat again and Kirks saw another ascent.

(I actually like this picture -- it's been a while since this area been that green.)

It appears the access land on the west side of the creek is for sale. I love the way the sign is hidden behind the rocks. I drive this road all the time and only noticed this today (6/28/09), so I have no idea how long it's been on the market.
