Hello,

I will be heading to Barcelona in August. I'd love to do some climbing while out there, but I'll be climbing solo as my friends who I will travel with don't climb. Can anyone recommend any places out there for bouldering or climbing? I don't have any ropes or route setting gear - just shoes and harness. Anyone on this site from Barcelona who would want to climb???

Thanks!

Alicia

Go to ukclimbing and post up, you will get plenty of info and offers im sure.
Montserrat is an amazing place that is near by and you can get to it by train or car.

Hey Alicia,

I posted a similar inquiry a few weeks back. here is the link to the thread. it might help but our situations are a bit different. If I find out anything while I am there I will be sure to forward on the info. Have a great trip!

A good place to meet folks would be in Montjuic (hill near the coastline) at an area called Las Foixardas. It has a curious mix of man made gym in a tunnel, real rock and drilled rock in concrete. It was full of folks last week. I'm sure you could find a partner there.
