Yes. I only seconded the route, but I remember they were mostly bathooks.

Yes it's a hook traverse that leads to a bashie seam , the bolts going across the traverse have grown to well protected with lots of chicken bolts . First ascent only had one the whole pitch!!! I noticed about 3 extra since I last did the climb since mid 90's . Seams like the locals hate aid climbers and wish this big wall climb didn't exist. I've worked with many first ascent climbers and have had bad luck with the cathedral crew. Nobody owns this cliff .

Doesn't free usually trump aid, especially artificial (drilled) aid, unless it is a super special aid line and would be mediocre freed?

This doesn't have anything to do with locals hating aid climbers.
New bolt/dowel ladders on Cathedral ledge in 2014? Really?
Your 2 project routes at Cathedral would be of questionable value and ethics 40 yrs ago.
Very surprised to see that they haven't been chopped yet.

Chopping bolts is only adding more destruction to the cliff! I don't think we want to start a war over this bolt ladder shit, and 40 years ago yes they didn't have nice big shinny fixe bolts that glows in the dark let alone bright as can be in the sun!!! We don't place rivets anymore for your info
