Does anybody else see "the old man of Rumney" in the rock right above the words "Birch Corner"?

yes, I tried TRing it once with Chris Smith, but I think I pumped out and I was a little freaked out about the big loose flakes inside. It will be a little harder without the flakes to push off of, but a lot safer. It did feel like my head would get pinched in a bad way if I slipped too. Watch out. Smitty also TRed the Triple Fisting line with me that day, but we had no gear with us to try leads.

If you like overhanging cracks, try out Brady Libby's route Cosmic Realignment up at the summit crag (when the birds have gone). It is a nice 12a that can be found in the highest gully to the right. There are 2 projects further up the gully that I need to finish. The only problem with these routes is the dirty aproach up the gully to the real climbing. Cosmic goes out a nice roof crack and was lead mostly on gear first. Brady later put a few more bolts. It and the other routes up there will be in Ward's new book
