Tell your bro to learn how to belay. Looks like you are still going to hit the ground if you fall from there. He might as well do something useful and let go of the rope and give you a spot.

Ditto...Dexter has a good point. The belayer is toooo far away, tooooo casual, and the rope should nearly taut, to be effective should to leader fall at this point.

No doubt about that. Man, we were noobs then. I think that was my first month climbing. Probably less than 1 week of leading. Self taught clearly ;)
