The Mickey Mouse Trail is a highly used climbing access trail in Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks, and is within a sensitive Habitat Conservation Area (HCA). Keeping trails in good condition within HCA's is critical to keeping foot traffic on designated pathways. 25 volunteers are needed for general maintenance and erosion control. The project is Saturday, October 18th, 8a-3p. Volunteers and staff will meet at the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks offices at 66 S. Cherryvale Rd, Boulder, CO and will shuttle up to the work site. Coffee, juice, and light breakfast will be provided. Box lunches will also be provided.

Volunteers must be 18yrs or older and should expect moderately strenuous trail work. Volunteers and staff will be hiking in .25-1.0 miles to the work site, carrying tools and supplies such as wood posts, shovels, rock bars, Pulaskis, etc. Please bring weather appropriate clothing, extra water, snacks, boots or close-toed shoes, sunscreen, hat, gloves.

Location:Meet at 66 S. Cherryvale Rd, Boulder
