Cairns have been used by man for thousands of years. They are an important part of history especially in the mountains, where they have guided many lost climbers/hikers to safety.

I am not sure how this qualifies as Andy Goldsworthy style. Beautiful pic though.

I actually think the cairn distracts and takes away from an otherwise beautiful scene. (Andy Goldworthy's constructions always ADD to the scenery.)
