Alaska Ski Mountaineering presented by Joe Stock
Each spring, Joe Stock and friends attempt ski traverses of entire mountain ranges in Alaska. Joe will show photos and tell stories from these expeditions including the 100-mile, full-length ski traverse of the Neacola Mountains, a 185-mile ski traverse of the Chugach Mountains from Anchorage to Valdez, and most recently, a full-length ski traverse of the Tordrillo Mountains. Joe's expedition in the Tordrillos avoided the helicopters - just three friends battling through 100 miles of crevasses, steep powder and over the four highest summits. Joe lives in Anchorage and works as a writer, photographer and as a certified alpine and ski mountaineering guide. Show starts at 8:00 PM.
