Right. No venom, but big and very strong constrictors. My son had a huge one as a pet, and he got a hold of me once and wrapped around my arm and squeezed really hard. Had to stick my entire arm into a tub full of water before he figured out he was drowning and it would be a good idea to let go.

Beautiful! Had a pair myself. Very docile and great pets. The female was six feet long and ate medium sized rats routinely.

Docile? Not the one living next to my driveway for years. It was an aggressive and pissed off @#%%. Big too, almost 6' I almost killed it a couple of times when it came at me but preferred to leave it for ground squirrel, mice, and rabbit control.

Bull snakes are moderately docile, mostly hiss and shake their tail among the leaves to sound like a rattlesnake and scare people off, but in fact--being twice their size--chase off rattlesnakes from their territory and so are good to have around.
