Yeah - my partner kicked a rock loose on rappel and it landed on the rope as it rested on a small ledge. He did not notice the damage until it passed through his rappel device. Pretty scary sight although the rope looks worse in the picture than when he first noticed it. Still - a testament to the strength of multi-strand sheathed climbing ropes!
