Bearable Adventure Race

The Bearable, brought to you by the City of Lakewood, is an adventure race for outdoor enthusiasts that the whole family can enjoy. Teams of two (divisions: male, female, co-ed, adult/youth) compete in four different disciplines in the following events (distances subject to change):
  • Orienteering (map navigation)
  • Non Traditional Lake crossing
  • Mountain Bike (Approximately 12 miles)
  • Trail Run (Approximately 5 miles)

Kids Mini Adventure at the Bearable

While mom or dad are experiencing The Bearable, kids ages 5-10 can have their own FREE adventure! REI and Lakewood Recreation are excited to get kids involved in biking, running, a water course and a special "mystery event." Every bear cub will receive a special award at a ceremony following the adventure, as well as some great "swag" from REI. Participants will need to bring his or her own bike and helmet and must be accompanied by a responsible party.
