Are you sure you're a climber then? I hate bouldering with my old man legs, and even I want to climb that.

Fantastic photo.

But is that rock properly called a "boulder"? It seems like much of it may be buried underground, unlike most rocks that I would call a boulder (which sit on top of dirt or other rocks).

Just wondering if people have other terms for such formations.

Of course, for the purpose of bouldering, it is the same as the standard boulder.

Some geologist would probably call it a demonstration of differential erosional patterns.
