The route sans the first 20 feet from the notch (below the bottom of the picture). The crux is the final crack system just before the summit. As can be seen/imagined, this route produces little rope drag.

On the tippy top of the summit. The large flat ledge below is big enough to have a lay down.
The fixed pin on the steep 4th Class downclimb to the notch. An orange carabiner was there (and still is) along with the pin. Held body weight when tested.
Our victory shot. The notch is visible in the background. The route ascends parallel to the northern skyline aspect of the thumb in the shot displaced to the east.
This was our "second" pitch traversing to the notch north of the Devil's Thumb. Note, we are on the east side, and it was technically very easy.
