I had a pair of those! Early 90's, can't remember the model name. They were great, but got really really really hot in the sun. I remember having to take them off in the middle of a Tuolmne climb because it felt like my toes were going to catch on fire.

Yeah, I think you've even spelled it right. Taos. But pronounced "Dows." And I remember the same thing: my feet absolutely cooking in them. I had two pairs and later switched back to my preferred ACES, courtesy of John Bachar (I literally bought my first pairs off John in J-Tree). Best, Cammo

Yeah - my Taos fit like gloves but rolled like crazy, so I never liked them.
