Very cool place. You can walk behind the waterfall. The pool is full of trout. Easy, short hike crowded with nice families.

Comment update: I didn't mean to be a jerk about the waterfall. When my wife and I were up there about 20 years ago, I don't remember any such restrictions or signs about not going under or behind the waterfall. Scads of tourists were doing it, and it seemed totally legit. I stand corrected and retract my suggestion. Anyone who knows me knows that I have no interest in trashing the environment or breaking the rules. I apologize if I angered anyone.

From the Denver Post, the landmanagers do not want people to walk behind the waterfall. It has high impact on the limited resources. Sorry.

If you're looking for a little rest from climbing and want a nice hike around Glenwood, join the flocking tourists to Hanging Lake. Despite the crowds, it's still worth it.
