The chimney on John's left is about 5.8/5.9, with good pro at the crux. I had to remove my helmet to get through!

The rock to the climbers right is VERY unstable. About 3ft up from him is where I broke a hold.

again, i would note that the rock was likely still somewhat damp and thus not that strong. the white rock is still pretty soft- but i've climbed that pitch several times and while i wouldnt call the rock granite, its certainly not terrible.
