JT aka Spiderman getting his leg solidly in front of the rope after being told not to for 6 months :-) Belayer was nappping or maybe thought he might cause a fall if he broke the climber's concentration, I was caught up in the photography from 50 feet away..And that is why you should wear a helmet, moments later he fell with just the tip of his foot in front of the rope and even that was enough to cause a 10 foot upside downer..Luckily unscathed..Although in fairness I will say it looks kind of hard not to get yourself in front of the rope in this spot..maybe just a do-not-fall situation

yeah that belayer needs to pay better attention. he sounds like an incompetent asshole to me. i would know, i know him better than anyone else in the world...

yeah i think we all sort of disregarded proper rope management at the worst possible time. i don't think anyone can question the size of JT's yarbles after taking a fall like that and getting right back on the rock.
