But why would you shell out the $40 if you're not planning on returning to the church, my son? Father Blarney Sometime soon Killis. And thanks Larry now I just need to wait for my next paycheck. :(

I must come out of the closet... I love guidebooks! That said I was planning on holding off on the new one, mostly due to displeasure with the other RR Guides I already own. Why buy another one? Answer- One look at the guide's website has me digging in my pocket for two twenties and some route description salvation... MM

I picked up the new guidebook this afternoon from DRS and it is awesome. As far as RR guidebooks go, Jerry's is in a class all by itself. What a piece of work! Great job Jerry!

Definately a piece of art. Even my wife wants to get one as a coffee table book. Great job Jerry, A beautiful and wonderful guide. I bought mine last weekend and read it cover to cover. Thanks for doing justice to Red Rocks.

My $.02 I was a little skeptical at first. ANOTHER Red Rocks guidebook? But I bought it anyway. I'm a guidebook junkie... and: The new guidebook is awesome! The action photos get me psyched to get out there and climb! The topo photos are beautiful as well as truly revealing the location of some of these more obscure climbs fot the first time. The historical narratives from climbing icons are entertaining and informing. This book is a full color glossy masterpiece and should be the standard by which all guidebooks are judged in the future! I truly hope that this trend continues, and that authors release more guidebooks in this style. The new routes look sick, and I can only hope to one day be strong enough to climb them! That said, I do wish that Mr. Handren had included seriousness ratings, as well as length ratings (III, IV, V, etc...), as subjective as they are. But, as I already own Brock's guidebook (which I also thought was a pretty good guidebook), I can just get that info out of her book if I really need it. Also, a few walls escaped being pictured in photo or topo, but with such a monumental task at hand I think the author was really a lot more complete than could ever have been expected. Thanks for doing a great job, Jerry! :) -Tavis

Just got the new guidebook in preparation for my trip in early November. This is the best guidebook that I have seen in both appearance and content. Great job. There are some fantastic looking routes in there that I have never seen or heard about before. Some of which are probably going to change our climbing itinerary. I guess since they are now in a color guide book it would not be taboo to discuss some routes that were previously left out of old books. In particular has anyone climb on the Jungle Wall. The Jungle Wall and Emerald Forest in Particular look like great routes. The new longs routes in first creek such as hot flash also look great.
