A History of Climbing Mt. Rainier
Dee Molenaar, at 88 years old, will present the history of climbing and climbers on Mt. Rainier, from Native Americans and the first Westerners, to WWII military training, and modern times. This is Dees second annual, last ever, visit to Boulder for a lecture. In addition to being The Mt. Rainier historian he has climbed on McKinley, Mt. St. Elias, and K2. Dees paintings and his book, The Challenge of Rainer will be available for sale.
