I am looking for some info on camping near White Rocks in New Mexico. I will be leaving for the area this week so please respond. I have the new SharpEnd guidebook and it says you can renegade camp there. Is this true? Any info would be great, I don't want to get in trouble. Thanks

Hi! I'm heading up to Los ALamos for climbing this weekend, and I'm wondering if it's been raining and wet, and how the conditions might be for camping?

I'll probably camp in the Jemez, maybe, or maybe near the Pajarito ski area. I just need to know how much rain gear/tarps to bring for our camp-outs.

Thanks in advance!

Logan,

Raining lots up here, so definitely bring a tent if you're camping on Pajarito or in the Jemez. They're running the lifts this weekend for biking, too, I believe, so there's some alternate entertainment.

There are security gates on 4 as you pass through the Lab on your way to Pajarito. They're very poorly signed, but the guards will just wave you through.
