Midnight, moonlight hikers in Vegas during the hot summer? Why not?

I'm looking for partners this summer for night time hiking, and/or scrambling in Red Rock, Mt. Charleston, or where ever. I could meet up at midnight 2-3 times a week after work Thurs-Mon. I'd also like to find partners that would be up for power-walking the 13 mile loop in Red Rock at midnight. I'm not much of a jogger but can walk/hike pretty fast when I'm in shape. If interested please feel free to drop me a line via Mountain Project e-mail, and we can plan specifics. : )

Thanks for stopping by.................G

Baby, don't tell all my deep, dark secrets. I'm running out of them.

Jim, if you are ever in Vegas again, let's hike!! We can even get a cheap breakfast at the Red Rock Grand Cafe in the wee hours of the morning after our hikes.

Anyway, I got one victim lined up already (a wild, and crazy co-worker, but he'll do) two if Jim joins. Any more?? Ladies?? Couples??

Get back to work, Jonny.

I'll call you at midnight. ; )

That's funny...I will be back! I have a free place to stay now (my friend lives close to Red Rocks) and many routes and hikes still call to me out there (when I was there in April, I made it to 10,000' on Charleston before postholing and turning around).

Just a question of when, not if...and count me in!!

Can't wait, Jim, as it'll be nice to see you again~ Look me up when you are in town. We'll do Charleston!

Still looking for more night owls! We're up to four people now (Ooops...I mean down to three; my co-worker got a little frightened). Four if Jim moves to Vegas!

Okay, we walked the entire Red Rock loop road last week at midnight, saw falling stars on a beautiful night but it killed my feet by the 12th mile or so walking on that pavement. Ready for some softer ground now.

Looking for partners for Aug. 23rd-Aug 30th at midnight after I get off from work.

I'm open to suggestions but just worked an 80 hour work week, so I'm looking for a good work-out but not anything that'll kill me next week. I'm thinking about doing the Blue Diamond Hill to the top to look at the city lights. It's a decent work-out but a quick scramble to the top so it won't keep us out too late. Also, Turtlehead Peak hiking in from the loop road entrance. Some stuff in Corn Creek. Cathedral Rock up at Charleston with some quick drinks at the lodge afterwards. We can carpool.

If you would like to join our very small night owl group, please feel free to e-mail.

My boss friend (never be friends with your boss; bad news!) scheduled me without my prior knowledge for three 16.5 hour shifts in a row Fri, Sat, and Sun. so, no night hiking on those days. If I/we can find coverage (yeah, right) and get out of working a couple of those shifts, I'll post up.
