Kelly Cordes will present a show focusing on his recent alpine
climbing adventures in Pakistan and Patagonia. Cordes’ climbing has
taken him around the world, and his lightweight-style outings have
ranged from complete flops to new ice and mixed lines in the Alaska
Range and Peru’s Cordillera Blanca, to one of the biggest rock climbs in history, on Great Trango Tower in Pakistan’s Karakoram Mountains.

Last summer, he had an “excellent failure” on Shingu Charpa, in
Pakistan, climbing 45 pitches only to come up short on the summit. In early January, on his first trip to Patagonia, he got away with a
bold new link-up on Cerro Torre, from with he’s still milking the
“I’m recovering” excuse while drinking beer and watching TV.
