Ok, I give. What's with this photo? Two people rated it as great but didn't notice the background? Joshua Tree and Quartz Monzonite rock....hummmm.

The climber and route may be double kneebar ranch but the background is certainly not NJC.

What do I win?

I think you guys at the Fish compound are way too serious.... Didn't Russ teach you about humor? Just look at the pretty colors and that dude cranking and enjoy.... everything will be OK.

Mmm, don't see anything funny here, just a below average chop job. I would have liked the background pic by itself, but the photoshop ruins it. Not deserving of front page status...

I like it! The light is all wrong. I've never seen a joshua tree at New Jack. Still, it's a cool looking image!

It's kinda in bad taste your making a classic sport route look like a boulder problem with the j tree right there. And I say this with all respect

Heh...

I didn't take the pic or photochop it. I just posted it, cuz I thought it was funny. Sorry if you think it was bad taste, to laugh at myself on one of my own routes.

Ben originally chopped the pic, to troll a bunch of my old trad buddies, for a thread about 'The best new route at Josh'. It worked pretty good back then, guess it still is?

The pic is actually quite funny, but it might require you to have a understanding about socal climbing history and the personalities of those that created it, to get the joke.
