Oct 16, 2006 accident waiting to happen. Good thing it's only a 5.7 and the leader is not likely to fall. This belayer needs to learn proper technique. The belayer should be close to the wall and below the first bolt. Better still, down on the ground and not on the exposed ledge. The leader should check the belayer's position and tell them to move to a better spot if they're not where they should be.
