This is one of the all-time great beginner routes in the entire area, and I'd give it more stars just for that. It gets a "Big Route" feel because of the massive, brooding left facing dihedral of Cat's Cave Inn, the height with that valley dropping off below, the cragster uses just about every kind of tech., and the belay ledges are sweet. This is a great route for the new trad leader, because the cracks are all over the place and the stuff just eats pro. One for the kids, the newbie and the timid, I'd highly recommend this route. And...there are not many route like it on this stone, because most of the 5.6 climbs have one move and then they are pretty much over, or awkward & mangy. Just sayin'...
