Got vermin?

A pair of rats set up housekeeping in my mom's semi-feral backyard early this spring. Not long afterwards, a weasel in winter white fur moved in. No more rats!

Your little friend was probably waiting for some climber-fattened ground squirrels. Good 'Evans!

I've never heard of rats doing housekeeping! You should have kept them around for awhile!

Great pic. FYI, that is a Pine Marten.

I'm trying to figure out what made that dangling shadow.

Nice shot! Most certainly not a pine marten. More like a long-tailed weasel. Martens are typically light brown/tan with a yellow/orange throat patch.

Yep, a long-tailed weasel, NOT a Pine Martin.
