Hey Ivan, the socks were bought at kmart, 12 pairs for a 3 bucks or something like that. They were in style then. By the way, it took me three tries to get up in the handstand because I was looking at a 15 feet fall (a big screamer for me) , especially when you're upside down. I was scared, and Paul left me off belay so he could take the picture. I"m sure he tied me in well, but then again, he drank three bottles of scotch with beer chasers the night before, so it was a little nerve racking. Can you do me a favor and send that picture to Steve in Alaska, he'll get a kick out of it! Like I told you, he was my gymnast mentor.
talk to ya later

ps. I bought the hat in Mexico

Being Jack Pratley's second climb ever, I told him not to worry and just climb, have fun, and get his feet as high as he can. Gotta watch what I say around Jack! Photo taken in the Spring of '82.
