Estes Park, CO, March 9, 2006 On Friday, March 24 from 4:00 to 9:30 PM, Trailridge Outfitters, with Eds Cantina of Estes Park, will be hosting the second-annual Spring Extrav! aganza with a fundraiser, customer appreciation sale, food and drinks, and a slide show presentation by Jeff Lowe, world-class alpinist and compelling lecturer. The event will be held at Trailridge Outfitters, 358 E. Elkhorn Ave. in Estes Park, and will benefit a scholarship program to help send Estes Park area youth to Outward Bound. Admission to this event is $10 per person. Tickets are available at Trailridge Outfitters or by calling 970-586-4595.

From 4:00 to 7:00 PM attendees will receive between 10% and 60% off everything in the store. This one-night customer appreciation sale is offered as a preview to Trailridge Outfitters March 24-April 2 Spring Sale. Customers will also enjoy appetizers and drinks generously provided by Eds Cantina, located next to Trailridge Outfitters at 390 E. Elkhorn Ave in Estes Park.

At 7:30 PM, Jeff Lowe will present a retrospective slide show of his illustrious climbing career. Jeff has been a climber since first tackling the Grand Teton at the age of seven. With more than 1000 first ascents to his credit, Jeff Lowe is a leading proponent in the movement toward light and fast climbs of the most technically difficult routes in the most remote mountain ranges on Earth. He is a renowned rock and ice climbing master, the author of hundreds of classic traditional rock climbs throughout the western U.S. A compelling lecturer, Lowe gives thought-provoking multi-media presentations putting a human face and voice on the world of extreme alpinism. The cost of admission goes to support Jeffs non-profit climbing organizations dedicated to providing unique climbing opportunities and access.

Following the slide show will be a raffle and silent auction with the proceeds to benefit the Trailridge Outfitters/Estes Park Outward Bound scholarship program. Trailridge Outfitters has initiated this scholarship fund to support and encourage the youth of the Estes Park area to experience the outdoors in a life-changing way. The proceeds from the raffle and silent auction will go into this scholarship fund to help send kids from the Estes Park school district to Outward Bound.
