Looking at the rap anchors off the backside of the east part of the summit (climber's left), towards the lake.

Very near the end of pitch one, the flake temporarily merges into the wall leaving a fairly large gap that must be crossed. Angela and I both had the same thoughts when we encountered this gap: "Herb and Jan, you're fricken' crazy!!!" I thought this to be the highlight of pitch one!
