The NEW new MP Logo - give feedback!

Of the three I like C, but the name is Mountain project. If it were Boulder Project either of the the logos B or C would be perfect. The person is necessary for continuity. It looks like the woman is climbing a scooped out wave-like formation. I think it would be more logical if the climber was facing the mountain with the back to the viewer. It wouldn't look as dynamic but would make more sense, possibly more of an X position.

This poll reminds me of the fable of the man, his son, and the donkey/- you can't make everyone happy. But I think everyone will be happier with these!

In order of preference:

1- original logo from years although won't fit into the hex shape of the other projects

2- A ... With no person. Some say it won't be continuous with the other projects but I disagree. It is still a Hex shape with the same mountain and Mountain Project is the O.G., original gangsta...

3- B

4- C

C then B as second choice

#1. Original logo

#2. A

Thank you for being open to our feedback.

My first choice is A.

Keep it simple. There's no need to put a person in the logo, especially since such an image doesn't scale down very well.

My distant second choice is B.

Keep climber female. The whinging from some men (and the use the term "men" loosely") is hilarious - in a pathetic sort of way...

But please ditch the chalkbag. Mind you, I'm biased. I haven't used chalk in over 5 years.

This post violated Rule #1. It has been removed by Mountain Project.

Definitely A. I'd feel the same about the logo regardless of the sex, I just like the simplicity of the first logo.

A by far, B and C are both way better than the current logo, but the feet still look awkward hanging in space like they are. The only good logo with a climber on it that I've seen so far is the one in the woman logo thread with the climber being horizontal and a foot attached.

A if it has to change. Old logo is simple and elegant. It's a shame it has to change.

I like A.

Why?

A, because it also speaks to over-the-hill trad climbers, scramblers, alpine climbers, ice climbers, ski-mountaineers etc.

The figure in B and C doesn't fit in with the background. It looks like the climber is either laybacking off the side of a strange boulder or climbing an even stranger overhang.

Thanks Nick for asking us to weigh in. Note that Nick didn't ask what we think of the new logo in relation to the whole *Project sites.

The falling climber feels cheesy... more like a poster than a logo. Patagonia, BD, prAna are great examples of simple and elegant logo designs.

I don't understand why you choose a woman in the logo so I choose A

Thanks for the feedback everyone! We're going with a tweak to version C. It will go live tomorrow. Small versions (such as favicons) will not have the human in it.

NEW new logo

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
