Thinly veiled (or not) racialized bullshit.

Really bad interpretation, I just hate asswipe criminals and the piss poor justice and penal systems. That happens after living in bad neighborhoods for half your life and gets worse with time. Maybe I need more Jesus?

Not so thinly veiled attempt at intellectual superiority. You failed by the way.

I hope 123Mountain gets what's coming to them.

Anyone wanting to opine on the criminal justice system should first be familiar with the perspective presented in The New Jim Crow .

I really am hoping this isn't a case of "all publicity is good publicity"...

I have to say it's so annoying how all the magazines come here to rip off our threads, thoughts and conversations. It's like someone overhearing your conversation and writing a book like they thought it up. Doesn't anyone think up their own shit anymore??

I think the article shed light on the problem to a new audience (Outside Online readers) and is a good thing, regardless of where it came from. The more people that read about it, the less potential victims.

Yup, this company deserves a good old online pile on.

Are you serious!? Did you read the in depth reporting? Lots of new information added about lawsuits, issues with Copper location, etc. It's not like they just ripped the info from the thread and repackaged it.

Yes I'm serious. It's not the end of the world though, just my opinion. It's just annoying to see all our threads end up in climbing, rock and ice, and now outside. I get how newspapers follow up on stories from other papers, but it's not like every climbing mag should be pulling their stories from MP. I don't care how in depth they get.

At least it keeps me from having to get a subscription to any of those mags though, and it's good to get the word out about this shop.

The other side of the coin is that we're driving coverage here in these forums and thus we must be very important people ;-PPP

Several of my friends have taken that route in life. At a third of their salary I seem to be enjoying my life quite a bit more. A full life beats out a rich retirement.
