Columbia College is hiring. It's a community college with a bunch of really good bouldering on the campus (250 problems in the guidebook, hundreds more for the scrubbing). It's five minutes or less from office to most of the climbing. There is both an instructor of chemistry and an instructor of physics open.
Commute to the local trad crag (Yosemite Valley) is just over an hour, other trad climbing options are available up highway 108 or at the grotto. The local sport crags (table mountain and the jailhouse) are about 15 minutes down the hill. Bonus bouldering is up 108 or in the valley.
Full disclosure: I teach at Columbia and can't answer any questions about jobs or hiring processes.
How much teaching experience is expected from candidates? I've thought about applying to C.C. positions but I've always been in research and it is difficult getting meaningful teaching experience.

I can't share anything beyond the job posting, but the worst that can happen is not getting an interview... Maybe someone else can speak about their experience at a different community college.
On a side note, conditions were good yesterday. I got in a couple quick sessions on a new problem in between classes.
