Guess the route

I have no clue what route, but judging by the shoes strapped to the harness there must be a walkoff of decent length??

Sorry to derail the thread, but can someone explain whats going on with the horizontally extended gear placement? Its hard to see the setup, but is one piece simply a backup for the other? Or is the intent to modify the direction of pull the cams experience, making them pull inward toward each other instead of rotating down if they were loaded (similar to slinging opposing nuts in a horizontal crack or before a traverse)?

Lars, what's going on is a screw up of mine...could not make up my mind left, right...then once I did, I couldn't free the wrong piece & so added another (shi..ty) one ;)

rpc-Gotcha.

Well does anybody know if the technique I mis-identified is ever used purposefully with cams. Seems to me like it could be effective in some very specific situations (ie. parallel cracks with flares the cam would walk out of or that would require a cam placement perpendicular to the direction of fall). Sorry again for the derail....

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
