This cliff is outside of the park, near Parkline slab. Sunny. Good winter destination. Has several routes including namesake Narrow Escape 10c and Desperate Kneed 11a

Getting There

If driving h/w 140 toward Arch Rock entrance park at the cliffside unpaved turnout just after Parkline parking and just before prominent prow of rock which overhangs the road and looks like a head of crocodile.
One can see the cliff from parking lot. Walk up steep slope ~30min to the base of the cliff

Get deep inside , place good #6 for pro and go for crux- after crack configuration force you outside for several feet. Than you can enter back to ever widening chimney. Not much protection you can place above the crux ( small and nuts) .There is no bolts on the top of the climb. We walked off on the left side of the climb using small tree for rappelling....[more]   Browse More Classics in California
