May 13, 2024 · TR. Did a variation by climbing the slab up to the last two bolts on Blood Brothers and then finishing by doing the crux of the traverse. Like everything I do now, this seemed much harder than the stated grade.

Jul 22, 2023 · TR. Wow. Everything feels so difficult. In climbing again, I thought I'd be able to just jump on 5.9s because that used to feel so routine for a warm up. Very humbling when I can barely do things like this slab with a top rope.

Jun 11, 2023 · Follow. First roped pitch in twenty years. I'm so fat that I can't even get my harness on anymore. I thought it would be easy to climb again, but this felt like 5.8. With George--- we're still at it 50 years later. Since the last time I climbed though I've summited nearly all the 14ers and more than 200 13ers and hundreds of "lesser" peaks.

Jul 15, 2016 · Solo. Tandem solo with Mike E. Approaching my 66th birthday, this was a monumental effort. I never would have made it without Iron Mike. I'm not nearly as capable as just a few years ago and by myself I would have turned back. This likely was the last climbing adventure for Mike Endicott and me together, since we're both dealing with various health issues.

● Little Pawnee to Pawnee Traverse
Aug 17, 2014 · Solo. This ridge looks awesome from Paiute Peak, but it's not too difficult. However what would have been an easy day even three years ago was aerobically challenging now.
