Shopify Payments was launched in August 2013, allowing merchants to accept credit cards without the use of a third-party payment gateway. In addition, the company announced the release of an iPad-centric point-of-sale device. It accepts debit and credit card payments using an iPad. In December 2013, the company raised $100 million in Series C funding. In 2014, Shopify made $105 million in sales, more than double the previous year's total. Shopify launched its enterprise solution "Shopify Plus"
