The Burn
Apr 11, 2026 · 1 pitch. Lead / Flash. Lead after Jason clean on lower. Definitely a "ramp" up on this one! Builds until it's over. Save finger sizes (blue totem) for the final section, and make sure you have a .2 for the roof and for just after. Bomber tricams, placed really good red before the roof extended and a black in the corner section on the left face of the open book.

Simple J Malarkey
Apr 8, 2026 · Lead. Swapped leads with Jason to start day 3 and access HH and CC planned link. P1 was a bit heady and scary, not too much gear, got shallow purp metolius and purp C3 that made pulling some of the steeper moves feasible without shitting my pants. Weird slick black patina? rock. Belayed on rubble ledge, Jason led p2, some difficulty finding belay spot. Pulled up into p3 right of the belay, scary and steep, got bad shallow purple with crusty rock, then flaring green c4, then bomber red c4. Up in the traverse section, got a great yellow totem and floated over to a bomber yellow c4, then it was over! Pulled great glorious jug haul up to the ledge. Great route, glad I did it for the heady challenge and getting over my own preconceptions.

Conn's West
Apr 7, 2026 · Lead / Onsight. Rapped Conn's West rap after summiting on Conn's East. Accidentally missed the third set of rap anchors but it worked out, built an anchor on low ledge and avoided approach on old man's from the ground. Jason led P1 in a huge link and even started on the initial corner on P2, having missed the P2 anchor. I climbed the last fun, steep corner to the rap tree. Rapped just in time for Ramp pizza and binocular photo exchange with Michigan girls!

Conn's East
Apr 7, 2026 · Lead / Onsight. Swapped leads with Jason. He took P1, super fun, then I took the intimidating pitch 2 and linked with P3. A little sketch linking with huge loop of slack across the ledge, but the moves starting P3 weren't bad. SUPER duper fun P3 after a really great but short steep section on P2. Jason led last romp to summit
